Jamaica, Jamaica! at the Philharmonie de Paris

Driven by the figure of Bob Marley, who introduced the world to reggae in the 1970s, Jamaica boasts a history that reaches well beyond music.

The "Jamaica Jamaica!" Exhibition showcases the island’s musical and political evolution through a chronological, 7-part presentation in which the lives of Bob Marley, Lee ""Scratch"" Perry, Peter Tosh, King Tubby, Marcus Garvey and Haïlé Sélassié intersect and overlap.

With your Thalys TheCard Card, take advantage of the offer to discover the exhibition: buy one admission, get one free.

Objective: - 40% CO2 by 2020

When you travel by Thalys, you're already part of the solution: a journey by Thalys means eight times less CO2 than by car and 10 times less than by aeroplane. Thalys decided to shift gears in 2015 by joining the Science-Based Targets* programme and setting itself the goal of reducing its CO2 emissions by 40% by 2020 compared to 2008.
This year the results are clear: our 2015 carbon footprint was 51,243 CO2 tons equivalent, that is, 14,000 less than in 2008 (-22%). That's great progress towards reaching our goal of -40%!

* The Science-Based Targets programme was created by the WWF, the UN Global Compact, the World Resource Institute and the Carbon Disclosure Project. This programme focuses on climate science, with the goal of limiting global warming to a maximum of 2°C between now and the end of the century, in compliance with the Paris Agreement signed during the COP 21. It helps calculate the desired reduction in CO2 emissions sector by sector. Consequently, each organisation needs to reduce its emissions in line with its responsibility.
